
Aradkouh recycling complex, which is the biggest of its kind in the Middle East was inaugurated by Tehran mayor yesterday.
SAMA quoted managing director of Tehran Municipality’s Recycling and Conversion Organization as saying that the complex includes processing lines, fermentation site, hygienic burial cell, as well as mechanized washing unit of waste carrying vehicles.
Farhad Pour-Mohammad Sakha added that processing lines include two fixed lines for processing waste material and production of compost each with a capacity of 500 tons in a shift in addition to six mobile waste processing and compost production lines with a total capacity of 250 tons per shift.
The official said that compost fermentation site of the complex is the biggest in the world, adding, “The 22-hectare site has four modern mixing machines and can receive 3,000 tons of compost in each work shift.”
